The Tree Stump Removal Process
The two methods of getting rid of a stump we offer are grinding the stump or completely removing the stump from the ground. Removing the stump as a whole is usually the more difficult of the two but sometimes necessary when grinding might not be an option. The method of removing the stump involves first digging up the roots of the previously standing tree and cutting them for removal. After that is done, the area around the stump is dug up. From there the stump will be lifted out of the ground, usually by crane. Once removed, the stump can be ground up and distributed back into the hole or used as decoration.
The simpler and more popular method of dealing with a stump is grinding it down with a stump grinder. This method is easier but can be more dangerous due to the type of machinery being used here. The process for this method is just clearing the area around the stump, then bringing in the stump grinder, and finally grinding the stump to just below the surface. Once that is done, the hole can be filled with the chips left behind.
